Traveling around the north side of Tahiti Nui, the Faarumai Waterfall is a destination for adventure seekers who wish to hike in a natural and secluded setting that will lead them to three extraordinarily large waterfalls.
Tahiti is home to some of the most beautiful hiking trails in French Polynesia and a favorite among locals and tourists is the three Faarumai waterfalls.
The waterfalls are located in the village of Tiarei, and are accessed by a short hike through a forest of chestnut trees. With three spectacular waterfalls to enjoy, this activity is definitely worth a moment of your time.
A beautiful experience and definitely one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen in my life. The setting is just fabulous and so unique that you feel as though you are on another planet.
The first waterfall you will meet is called Vaimahutu and if you walk for another 20 minutes or so, you will reach the second and third falls, named Haamarere Iti and Haamarere Rahi.
A truly impressive sight, the first waterfall, Vaima Hutu is dramatic and powerful. Showcasing remarkable crystal clear water rushing down a sheer rock face into a cool inviting pool. Described as 'astonishing' and 'incredibly picturesque' there is no doubt that this activity will be a memorable highlight of your yacht charter vacation.
The first waterfall is easily accessible, however, it is important to note that we do advise only experienced hikers or walkers with an experienced guide should carry on to witness waterfalls 2 and 3.
